The TV wall is the one wall everyone in the house looks at every day, so the panel you choose matters more here than anywhere else. It has to look good with the TV on and off, hide cables, take LED lighting well and not throw glare onto the screen.

This guide compares WPC, charcoal and PVC panels for a TV wall on exactly those points, then prices a real 10 x 8 ft wall in 12 of the series we stock, including adhesive and labour, so you know the full cost before you start.

Short answer: for most living rooms, a matte wood-grain WPC louver 15 mm or deeper is the safest choice for a TV wall. It gives real shadow lines, hides cables and does not reflect the screen. Choose a charcoal panel when you want a marble, stone or metallic look behind the TV. A 10 x 8 ft TV wall costs about ₹18,100 to ₹34,100 at Louver Studio, including panels, silicone adhesive and labour.

Five things that decide the right TV wall louver

1. Glare

Glossy white panels and shiny metallic finishes reflect the screen, especially with a window opposite the TV. Matte wood grains and soft marble finishes are the safest choice directly behind the screen.

2. Depth

A TV wall is usually seen from 8 to 12 ft away, where thin 8 to 9 mm grooves read almost flat. For visible shadow lines, choose 15 mm or deeper, such as MABEL 17mm, TROIKA, SOLE or DEUCE.

Century DEUCE: 26 mm twin box fins, the deepest profile we stock.

3. Cables

Fix the TV height and socket positions before the panels go up. On a flat wall, panels are usually fixed with silicone adhesive, so run HDMI and power in a wall conduit first. If cables cannot go in the wall, a batten frame behind the panels leaves room for them, at extra cost.

4. Lighting

Warm LED strips (2700 to 3000K) in a channel at the top or sides make every groove glow. Cool white light flattens wood tones. Plan the wiring before installation.

5. Mounting the TV

Never hang the TV on the panels themselves. The bracket must go through the panels into brick, RCC or a plywood backing behind them. See our guide on mounting a TV on a WPC louver wall.

Frequently Asked Questions

For most homes, a matte wood-grain WPC louver 15 mm or thicker. It gives depth, hides cables and does not reflect the screen. Charcoal panels suit marble or stone looks.

Divide the wall width in inches by the panel width, then add 10% for cuts. A 10 ft wall needs 9 Century SPLAY panels, 18 Century DEUCE, 20 E3 MABEL, or 27 of a 5 in charcoal flute.

At Louver Studio, a 10 x 8 ft TV wall costs about ₹11,000 to ₹27,000 in panels. Adding silicone adhesive (about ₹29 per sq ft) and labour (about ₹60 per sq ft) brings it to roughly ₹18,100 to ₹34,100 installed.

WPC gives deeper grooves and a warmer wood look. Charcoal offers marble, stone and metallic finishes. Both resist moisture and termites indoors.

No. Fix the bracket through the panels into the wall or a plywood backing behind them.

Yes. A profile channel at the top or sides with warm white strips lights up the grooves. Plan the wiring before the panels go up.
