Two louver walls can use the same colour and still look nothing alike. The difference is the shape of the panel: how deep the ribs are, whether they are square, rounded or flat, and what sits in the gaps between them.
This guide to louver panel shapes and profiles walks through every louver and fluted panel shape we stock from Century Ply, E3 Clads, Advance and Urodecor, with sizes, thickness and current prices, so you can match the shape to the look you want before you choose a colour.
Quick answer: louver panels come in eight main shapes: deep box fins, low flat-top ribs, flat grooved planks, rounded flutes, fine reeds, slats with dark gaps, slats with metallic inlay lines, and chevron or herringbone patterns. Century Prime covers the deep WPC shapes (Sole, Deuce, Troika, Splay), Century Select covers slim grooved and reeded WPC planks, and E3 Clads, Advance and Urodecor cover the charcoal shapes, including marble, inlay and chevron designs.
What "shape" means on a louver panel
When designers talk about the shape, or profile, of a louver panel, they mean four things:
- Rib form: square fins, flat-topped ribs, rounded flutes, fine reeds or a flat plank with grooves.
- Depth: how far the ribs stand off the wall. Deeper ribs (25 to 26 mm) throw strong shadows; shallow profiles (8 to 12 mm) read as texture.
- Rib width and spacing: a few wide ribs look bold from across the room, many narrow ones look fine and calm.
- What fills the gaps: the same colour, a black recess, or a gold or rose-gold metallic line.
Shape matters more than people expect. It decides how the wall looks under side lighting, how much it costs per sq ft, and how many panels you need. For standard sizes, see our louver size chart.

Prices are per panel as on 31st October 2026, including GST. Panel sizes differ, so compare per sq ft before you decide. Our WPC louvers price list has the full breakdown.
1. Deep box fins: Century Prime Sole and Deuce
These are the boldest shapes we sell. Each rib is a hollow square fin that stands well off the wall, so the panel throws deep, sharp shadows even under ordinary ceiling lights.
Century Prime SOLE has single square fins on a 6.69 in wide, 25 mm thick panel, at ₹1,349 per panel. Century Prime DEUCE pairs two fins on each rib for a heavier, more architectural look, on a 7.67 in wide, 26 mm panel at ₹1,499. Both are 9.5 ft tall WPC in 10 wood and solid shades.
Best for: TV walls, double-height lobbies and any wall that is lit from the side.

2. Low flat-top ribs: Century Prime Troika
Century Prime TROIKA uses wide, flat-topped ribs that rise only gently from the base. You get clear vertical lines without the heavy shadow of a box fin, which suits bedrooms and smaller living rooms. It is 7.67 in wide and 15 mm thick, at ₹1,150 per panel, making it the most affordable Century Prime profile.

3. Flat grooved planks: Century Splay, Century Select, Advance and Urodecor
A grooved plank is a mostly flat panel with fine grooves cut into the face. It looks like timber boarding rather than ribs, so it suits minimal and Japandi interiors.
Century Prime SPLAY is the widest panel we stock at 16.25 in, covering 12.87 sq ft per piece. That means fewer joints and the lowest cost per sq ft in the Century Prime range, about ₹148. The Century Select range offers slimmer grooved planks: Elara (9 in, 9 mm, ₹749), Novia (6.6 in, 16.5 mm, ₹799) and Orizon (6 in, 8 mm, ₹649). In charcoal, Advance X2 Navajo gives a similar plank look at ₹750, and Urodecor Vol-II has two-plank designs such as Zebra Ebony and Amber Teak.

4. Rounded flutes: Advance, E3 Mabel and Urodecor
Rounded, half-round flutes are what most people picture when they hear "fluted panel". The soft curves catch light gradually, which feels warmer and less formal than square ribs.
Advance offers several rounded profiles on a 5 in wide, 12 mm charcoal panel at ₹750: Bamboo, Bass, Concert and Venu. From E3 Clads, Mabel is a 6.7 in WPC panel in 9, 17 and 20 mm thicknesses (₹550 to ₹650), and the Aldura Wave shades add a gentle wave to the flute. Urodecor Vol-II also comes in Wave shades: rounded charcoal flutes in teak, ebony and marble finishes at ₹750 for an 8 ft x 5 in panel.

5. Fine reeds: Century Kyra, Advance Piccolo and E3 Vegas-10
Reeded panels have many narrow ribs packed close together. From a distance the wall reads as a fine texture rather than bold lines, which works well in compact rooms, foyers and behind beds.
Century Select KYRA is a 6.3 in, 12 mm WPC reeded panel at ₹699. In charcoal, Advance Piccolo (5 in, ₹750) has very fine ribs, and the reed and groove shades in E3 Vegas-10 and Shallom-10 cover 7.91 sq ft per 10 in panel at ₹1,799.

6. Slats with dark gaps: Advance Whistle and E3 Vol-III
Here each wood-finish slat is separated by a black recess, so the wall looks like individual timber battens fixed over a dark background. It is the most popular "slatted wall" look for TV units and home offices.
Options include Advance Whistle and Iris (5 in, ₹750), E3 Vol-III and the slat shades in E3 Aldura and Allestto, all 8 ft x 5 in, 12 mm charcoal at ₹750.

7. Metallic inlay lines: Advance, E3 Clads and Urodecor
These panels add a thin gold, rose-gold or bronze line between the ribs. The metallic lines pick up light and give a hotel-lobby finish, especially on marble and dark wood shades.
Advance Damour and Contrabass (5 in, ₹750) pair solid colours and wood grains with gold lines. From E3 Clads, the gold line shades in Shallom (8 ft x 5 in, ₹750), Vegas-10 (₹1,799) and Phoenix (12 in wide, ₹1,899) give the same effect at different panel widths. Allestto and Aldura Vol II combine dark slats with gold lines, and Urodecor Vol-II (8 ft x 5 in, ₹750) groups three gold lines down one side of each panel for a striped, hotel-style finish.

8. Chevron and herringbone: E3 Phoenix and Vegas
Not every louver shape is a straight rib. E3 Clads makes 12 in wide charcoal panels with chevron and herringbone patterns, which give a feature wall movement without laying panels at an angle.
The Phoenix chevron range (9.5 ft x 12 in, ₹1,899) includes black, brown, grey and multi-tone chevrons. Vegas (8 ft x 12 in, ₹1,899) adds herringbone and chevron designs in wood, marble and copper finishes. For more pattern ideas, see our 9 louver wall designs guide.

How to choose the right shape
- Large living room or TV wall: deep box fins (Sole, Deuce) or chevron panels for a strong focal point.
- Bedroom headboard wall: low ribs (Troika), rounded flutes or fine reeds for a calmer look.
- Small room or narrow passage: fine reeds or flat grooved planks, which add texture without making the space feel busy.
- Luxury or hospitality look: metallic inlay lines or marble finishes from E3 Clads and Advance.
- Lowest cost per sq ft: wide panels such as Century Splay or the 5 in charcoal panels at ₹750.
- Humid areas: WPC (Century, E3 Mabel) handles moisture well; ask us before using any panel in a wet zone.
Tip from our showroom: see the shape under side light before you buy. A deep fin and a shallow groove can look similar in a photo but completely different on your wall once a cove light or window is beside it.
Does the shape change the price?
Yes. Deeper profiles use more material, so the 25 to 26 mm Century Prime fins cost more per sq ft (about ₹247 to ₹255) than flat grooved planks such as Splay (about ₹148). Charcoal panels at ₹750 cover 3.33 to 4 sq ft each, about ₹188 to ₹225 per sq ft. Use our louver calculator to count panels for your wall, then add about 10% for wastage.
