Most quotes for louvers and fluted panels give you a price per piece, then add installation as a line you only see at the end. That makes it hard to compare options or plan a budget.

This guide sets out what installation actually costs at Louver Studio in Bangalore, what is included, what adds to the bill, and the installed price per sq ft for every panel series we stock, so you can work out the full cost of a wall before you call anyone.

Quick answer: on a flat, dry wall, installation adds about ₹89 per sq ft on top of the panels: roughly ₹29 per sq ft for silicone adhesive (one ₹230 tube covers about 8 sq ft) and about ₹60 per sq ft for labour. With panels from ₹104 to ₹255 per sq ft, an installed louver wall costs about ₹193 to ₹344 per sq ft before any extras like a batten frame or LED lighting.

For an 80 sq ft wall (10 ft wide, 8 ft high), that means 10 tubes of adhesive (₹2,300) and about ₹4,800 in labour: roughly ₹7,100 on top of the panels, whichever series you choose.

TV wall with full-height walnut WPC louvers and warm LED wall-wash lighting
A full-height louver wall on a flat wall needs only adhesive and labour; LED channels are planned and priced separately.

How a louver wall is installed

On a flat, dry interior wall, a typical install goes like this:

  • Check the wall. It must be dry and sound. Fix any seepage first: panels hide a damp wall, they do not cure it.
  • Plan sockets, cables and the TV position. Run HDMI and power in a wall conduit before panelling, and mark where any TV bracket or shelf will fix into the wall.
  • Set out the first panel. It is fixed perfectly plumb, because every panel after it follows its line.
  • Fix the panels with silicone adhesive. Beads are applied to the back of each panel, which is pressed tight to the wall.
  • Cut around switches and edges. Panels are trimmed on site for height, sockets and corners, which is why about 10% extra is ordered.
  • Finish the edges. Ends and corners are finished neatly so the wall looks complete.

What makes installation cost more

  • An uneven or damp wall. A batten or plywood frame goes up first so the panels sit straight. This is quoted after a site visit.
  • Hiding cables behind the panels when they cannot go in the wall. A frame leaves a cavity for them.
  • A wall-mounted TV or heavy shelves. These need plywood backing or fixings into the wall behind the panels; never hang them on the panels alone. See mounting a TV on a louver wall.
  • LED lighting channels at the top or sides of the wall.
  • Ceilings. Ceiling panels go on a light frame rather than adhesive. See our guide to PVC ceiling and soffit panels.

How to keep the cost down

  • Choose a series that suits the room, not the most expensive one. Behind a TV seen from 10 ft away, a 17 mm MABEL panel reads almost as deep as a 26 mm DEUCE at half the installed cost.
  • Fix wall damp and plaster first. A flat, dry wall avoids the cost of a frame.
  • Order once, with 10% extra. Topping up a few panels later can mean a different batch shade.
  • Panel a feature band instead of the whole wall. A strip behind a TV or bed often looks better than a fully clad wall and costs much less.

Frequently Asked Questions

About ₹60 per sq ft for fixing panels to a flat, dry interior wall, including cutting and cut-outs for switches. Frames, LED channels and TV backing are quoted separately.

One ₹230 tube of silicone adhesive covers about 8 sq ft of panels, so an 80 sq ft wall needs about 10 tubes, or roughly ₹2,300.

On a flat wall, about ₹193 to ₹344 per sq ft installed, depending on the panel series. That is the panel price plus about ₹89 per sq ft for adhesive and labour.

Not on a flat, dry interior wall; they are fixed with silicone adhesive. A frame is needed where the wall is uneven or damp, where cables must run behind the panels and for ceilings.

A small, flat feature wall is possible for a confident DIYer, but the first panel must be perfectly plumb and cuts around switches need care. For TV walls and large walls, a carpenter gives a much better finish.
